Even though it is still summertime, I am starting to think about fun craft projects for Christmas; I quite fancy making a few decorations for the tree. Here's a few I did last week, they are just made of pieces of felt and stuck together with PVA glue and double-sided sticky tape (the robin is made with a polystyrene ball).
They are quite large and cheerful at the moment, a bit childish really but they should make any guests smile to see them on my tree this year. I'm thinking of some more ideas for tree decorations made of felt... any suggestions?

I'm a fan of upcycling and recycling things from around the house and I came across an old chocolate box last month that was a nice shape. It joined me in my little craft room and I turned it into a jewellery box for my sister.
I used ripped pieces of paper on the lid and covered them in lots of layers of PVA glue to create a glossy layer for the lid. I used a punch to create the flowers around the edge and added cute buttons to them. The butterflies on top are wooden embellishments that are popular at the minute.
